Medieval field system in the form of ridge and furrow to the west of Chetnole visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken by the RAF in 1947. The narrow curvilinear plots visible in 1947, and shown on the OS Epoch 1 6" to the mile map, published in 1888, indicate an area of former medieval strip field.

Full Description
Medieval field system in the form of ridge and furrow visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken by the RAF in 1947. The narrow curvilinear plots visible in 1947, and shown on the OS Epoch 1 6" to the mile map, published in 1888, indicate an area of former medieval strip field (RAF 1947; OS 1888).
