Summary

An incense cup found during removal of a large round barrow is illustrated in 'Celtic Tumuli of Dorset' by antiquarian Charles Warne who described the barrow as being on Burlestone Farm near Dewlish Old Turnpike Gate. The exact location of the barrow is not known.

'An incense cup was recovered from a large barrow 'removed for agricultural operations on Burlestone Farm, near Dewlish Old Turnpike Gate' (C.T.D., illustration on title-page). The barrow must have been adjacent to (7) and (8).'
