Please read our .

Summary

A post hole of possible Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age date recorded during excavations in 2022 before the site was developed for housing. The circular post hole was around 0.23 metres in diameter and contained a dark greyish-black filling, which excavators felt may suggest deliberate backfilling. The deposit contained two joining sherds of Beaker pottery and a worked flint, and environmental samples contained oak charcoal and an oak leaf bud.
