Contour strip lynchets, the remains of the medieval open field system around the settlement of Lazerton. Likely to have been enclosed in the 15th century, when the village of Lazerton was deserted. Now almost wholly destroyed.

Full Description

Contour strip lynchets of the open fields of Lazerton 865106-874113, cover some 15 acres; they are now almost wholly destroyed. The fields were probably enclosed at about the same time as Lazerton was deserted presumably in the 15th century. (See ST 81 SE 26). <1-2>
