Full Description

'London, Dec. 4...We hear of several vessels being lost on the west coast of England, particularly a large French ship off Lime, bound for Spain with bombs, granadoes, and other warlike stores.' (1)

NB: This vessel may have been lost in the storm reported on that area of the coast on 21 to 22 November, 1739, but this is at present not confirmed.
