NB: At this period the Julian Calender ("Old Style") was still in use in England with the New Year beginning on 25th March. This account dates between 1st January and 24th March inclusive when contemporary sources are recorded as one year behind the modern calender which was adopted in 1752 as the Gregorian or "New Style" calender. For consistency all AMIE records are updated to the modern Gregorian calender.
