Full Description

Five sections of gold bar each with one of the Roman numerals from 1 to 5 and a gold pellet were found at Wimborne (SZ 0199). (1)

The six objects have the registration number 1865 4-11, 1 to 6, and were acquired as Treasure Trove in 1865, the register entry reading "Found near Wimborne Dorset on the ground of Mr Foster". There is no mentioned of any associated material and the dating is an open question. (2)
