Summary

Parish Church. 12th century core to nave, refenestrated and extended west in 15th century. West Tower 15th century. Chancel rebuilt in 1891, and north porch. North Vestry. 1891, date of drastic restoration. Flint and dressed stone banded walls. Clay tile roofs.

Full Description

Parish Church of St. Mary, Stratton built of local rubble stone with dressings, has a nave probably dating from 12th century. The west tower was added early in the 15th century and the nave was extended to it and rebuilt shortly after. The church was drastically restored in 1891 when the chancel and most of the north aisle were rebuilt. (2)
