Full Description
A round barrow on Killwood Heath, now known as Creech Heath (SY 9283), opened in December 1865 by W. J. Pike, was about 25 feet in diameter by 9 or 10 feet high. In the centre was a primary cremation with a garnet-like object.
The section of the mound showed a laminated structure as if built of turves.
This may be the Icen Barrow (SY 98 SW 43) or one of the four barrows on Creech Heath (SY 98 SW 42).
