Full Description

Luxford Lake, Tyneham. Bucket urn (shouldering,perhaps through Hallstatt influence), and a globular urn (Abercromby) 407 and 407a. <1>

Two late Bronze Age urns and one tripartite debased Middle Bronze Age urn from a barrow near Luxford Lake, are in the British Museum. (Acc. No. 1880.2.12). <2>

No further information. The stream of Luckford Lake, might site this excavation to 'Five Barrows'. <3>

Luxford, probably a variant in spelling of Luckford. (Luckford Lake, a stream extends from SY 883861 to about SY 873820: OS 1" 1811). <4>
