Full Description
The earthwork remains of a Medieval/Post-Medieval Water Meadow are visible centred at approximately SY 7748 9592 on aerial photographs. The banks and ditches (carriers) can be seen following a watercourse in the north from SY 7705 9725 adjacent to Dewlish Park, and is visible to approximately SY 7733 9483, south of Water Barn and across the A35. The current aerial photographs do not extend further south past this point so it is uncertain whether the water meadows also continue. These features are visible on aerial photographs taken by English Heritage in 2007 as part of the Reconnaissance Recording Programme. <1>
