Full Description

A well-made Roman mortar floor was seen by Cunnington in or before 1878, and a highly decorated enamelled bronze military belt plate and pottery were found. The belt plate, wich may be associated with the military phases of the mid C1st CE, is of a degenerate form which survived into the C2nd, and is in the County Museum. <1-3>
