Monument record MDO47355 - First World War airship mooring, Upton House, Poole

The site of a First World War airship moorings for non-rigid airships at Upton. It was in use from mid 1918 until the end of the war. It was an out-station of RNAS Polegate and possibly RNAS Mullion and a SS type airship was moored there in the grounds of Upton House.
