Summary

Five Lower Palaeolithic handaxes, one found in 1900, were discovered at Boscombe Cemetery, otherwise known as East Cemetery or Pokesdown Cemetery. The geology in the area consists of Terrace 10 Gravel at the south side of the Cemetery.
