Church of England and Non-Conformist Cemetery Chapels in Early English styles and linked by central former porch, built 1897, by F W Lacey (Borough Engineer).

Full Description

Cemetery opened in 1898. Entrance lodge has iron gates and turreted piers. There are some wooden headstones and not very much statuary. The boundary is hedge/ tree lined. The cemetery is divided into Church of England, Roman Catholic, Non-Denominational and Jewish areas. Cumberland Clark is buried here, photo of gravestone in file. The cemetery was considered for inclusion in the Register of Parks and Gardens, but was not added to the Register. <1>

Jewish section opened in 1906 and an Ohel constructed in 1922. <2>
