Summary
The probable site of a large extractive pit with associated spoil is visible under trees on lidar imagery to the northwest of Bloxworth House, Bloxworth. Three other smaller hollows are also visible. The features range from 20m to 75m across and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project. They are considered likely to be the sites of post medieval chalk pits.

Full Description
The probable site of a large extractive pit with associated spoil is visible under trees on lidar imagery to the northwest of Bloxworth House, Bloxworth <1>. Three other smaller hollows are also visible. The features range from 20m to 75m across and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project. They are considered likely to be the sites of post medieval chalk pits.
