Building record MDO47146 - Peatons Farmhouse, Lytchett Matravers

SY 932958 Peaton's Farmhouse has a thatched roof and walls of cob, faced with brick upon base courses of carstone rubble of 17th century origin partly rebuilt in 1758, this date and the initials 'IP' being cut in the brickwork. <2>

'The following monuments, unless otherwise described, are of cob mostly faced with brick or stucco and with thatched roofs. They are of the late 18th century. … (20) Peaton's Farm, house (932958), has base courses of carstone rubble. It is of 17th-century origin but was partly rebuilt in 1758, this date and the initials I P being cut in the brickwork.'
