A post medieval extractive pit at Chalk Pit Cottage, Lytchett Matravers, is visible as an irregular earthwork on current lidar imagery [1]. The feature is recorded as a chalk pit on the OS 1st Edition map [2] and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
