Summary

Wimborne Magistrates’ Court was built in 1963-1969. The courthouse, with two courtooms, was attached to a Police Station and Probation Office at the side. The building consists of one storey and is made up of brown brick and features a flat roof with a raised central roof area.

Full Description

Wimborne Magistrates’ Court was built in 1963-1969 in Hanham Road, Wimborne, Dorset and was designed by an architect unknown at the time of this record’s construction. The courthouse in attached to a Police Station and Probation Office at the side. The building consists of one storey and is made up of brown brick and features a flat roof with a raised central roof area. The interior of the building contains two courtrooms. The floor area of the building covers 127.99sq/m (419.93sq/ft). <1>

According to a list supplied to English Heritage’s Government Historic Estates Unit, at the time of compiling this record in 2012, it is understood that this building is being considered for disposal. <3>
