Summary

Poole Crematorium opened in 1985, it was built for the Borough of Poole and designed by Richard Warmington, the design won a Civic Trust award. The building is of red brick, with sweeping tiled roofs. The landscaping was left as natural woodland to fit in with the surrounding area much of which is SSSI heathland. The grounds were assessed for inclusion in the Register of Parks and Gardens but did not meet the require criteria.

Full Description

Poole Crematorium opened in 1985. The burial ground for internments spans 8 acres. There is a gated entrance and the grounds have gardens. The cemetery was considered for inclusion in the Register of Parks and Gardens, but was not added to the Register. <1>
