Full Description

Wytherston (Withersham) was once in a parish of its own. It cannot be identified in Domesday, but from the reign of Henry III to the Dissolution it belonged to Abbotsbury Abbey. Its church was ruinous in Hutchins' day. There are traces of cottages in the vicinity of Witherston Farm. <1-2>
