Full Description

The house is partly modern, but incorporates a 17thc. building of L-shaped plan, with a later extension on the S.W. <2>

The present farmhouse, with its buildings known as SHATCOMBE FARM, was built in 1904. The cottage immediately N. of the farmhouse - the old farmhouse - has no name.

The cottage has stone walls and a thatched roof except for the N.E. part which is slated. There are modern windows and brick chimneys and no particular features of antiquity. The cottage is temporarily unoccupied, and is in fair condition. <3>
