Summary

Ridged and ditched linear features to the east of St Mary's Church, Lytchett Matravers, are visible as earthworks on current Environment Agency lidar imagery. The features are associated with banked linear boundaries and might be those of ridge and furrow and field boundaries of potentially medieval origin. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.

Full Description

Ridged and ditched linear features to the east of St Mary's Church, Lytchett Matravers, are visible as earthworks on current Environment Agency lidar imagery [1]. The features are associated with banked linear boundaries and might be those of ridge and furrow and field boundaries of potentially medieval origin. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project. The features are no longer visible on available Google Earth imagery.
