Full Description
Ridged and ditched linear features within fields to the east of St Mary's Church, Lytchett Matravers, are visible as earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs [1, 2]. The features are associated with banked curvilinear boundaries and might be those of medieval ridge and furrow, bordered by field boundaries also of potentially medieval origin. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project. The features are no longer visible on available Google Earth imagery.
