Summary

Ridged and ditched linear features within fields to the south of Eddygreen Farm, Lytchett Matravers, are visible as earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs. The features might be those of medieval ridge and furrow, although cultivation marks of a later origin are also possible. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.

Full Description

Ridged and ditched linear features within fields to the south of Eddygreen Farm, Lytchett Matravers, are visible as earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs [1]. The features might be those of medieval ridge and furrow, although cultivation marks of a later origin are also possible. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project. The features are no longer visible on available Google Earth imagery.
