Full Description
Narrow banked linear boundaries to the south of Sturminster Marshall are visible as earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs [1]. The features are narrow and regular in form and align with and divide regular historic fields. They are considered likely to be field boundaries of post medieval date, although an earlier origin is possible. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project. They are no longer visible on 2021 APGB imagery.
