Full Description
Several small sub-circular hollows to the northeast of Peaton's Farm, Lytchett Matravers, are visible as earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs [1]. The features are considered to possibly be post medieval extractive pits, probably chalk pits and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project. The features are no longer visible on available Google Earth imagery.
