Full Description
An area of ridged and ditched cultivation in a field to the southeast of the parish church, Lytchett Matravers, is visible as faint earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs [1]. The features are considered to probably be those of medieval ridge and furrow, possibly associated with a deserted medieval settlement to the west (MDO7774). The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project. The features are no longer visible on available Google Earth imagery.
