Full Description
A post medieval quarry to the southeast of Morden is visible as earthworks and a structure on 1940s aerial photographs [1]. The feature comprises a series of irregular linear banks and a small rectilinear building at its northeast corner, overall extent approximately 95m by 40m. The quarry is shown but not named on the OS 1st Edition map and is recorded as an old quarry on an OS map dated 1955 [2, 3]. It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.The features are no longer visible on 2022 Google Earth imagery.
