Monument record MDO46910 - Possible medieval ridge and furrow, West Park Farm, Morden

An area of ridged and ditched cultivation to the northwest of West Park Farm, Morden, is visible as earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs. The features might be those of medieval ridge and furrow. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.

An area of ridged and ditched cultivation to the northwest of West Park Farm, Morden, is visible as earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs [1, 2]. The features comprise regular and parallel ridges and ditches within a historic field, which run counter to modern ploughing, being aligned broadly E-W as a pose to SE-NW. They might be those of medieval ridge and furrow. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.The features are no longer visible on 2021 APGB imagery.
