Full Description

An area of slightly curving ridged and ditched cultivation marks to the west of Cold Barrow, Morden, are visible as earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs [1]. The features might be those of medieval ridge and furrow, although a later date is also possible. They appear to be possibly cut through by several probable post medieval extractive pits (MDO46895), although others in the cluster might underlie the features so the relationship is not certain. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project. The features are under trees on 2021 APGB and are no longer visible.
