Summary

Parish Church, 1842 by G and H Osborn. Flint and rubble-stone walls, rendered. Slate roof with stone gable-copings and moulded kneelers. Stone bellcote on west gable with steeply pitched roof and bell in situ. Nave and chancel in one. Tympanum ca. 1100, 13th century font and piscina saved from former church

Full Description

Parish Church of St Laurence, entirely rebuilt in 1842 by G and H Osborn. The chancel arch, which is early C15th. Perpendicular style, Norman pillar piscina, and tympanum (reset in the west wall) are reused from the earlier church. <1-2>

The tympanum of ca. 1100 depicts two dragons confronting each other. <4>
