Summary

A sub-circular hollow in a field to the north of Winterborne Zelston is visible as a faint earthwork on current Environment Agency lidar imagery. The feature is considered to possibly be an old post medieval extractive pit, possibly a chalk pit, and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.

A sub-circular hollow in a field to the north of Winterborne Zelston is visible as a faint earthwork on current Environment Agency lidar imagery [1]. The feature is considered to possibly be an old post medieval extractive pit, possibly a chalk pit, and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
