Full Description
An irregular hollow in a field to the northeast of Winterborne Zelston is visible as an earthwork on current Environment Agency lidar imagery [1]. The feature is shown but not named on OS historic mapping, where it is depicted as a tree-filled copse. The feature might be an old post medieval extractive pit and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
