An irregular hollow in a field to the northeast of Winterborne Zelston is visible as an earthwork on current Environment Agency lidar imagery. The feature is shown but not named on OS historic mapping, where it is depicted as a tree-filled copse. The feature might be an old post medieval extractive pit and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.

An irregular hollow in a field to the northeast of Winterborne Zelston is visible as an earthwork on current Environment Agency lidar imagery [1]. The feature is shown but not named on OS historic mapping, where it is depicted as a tree-filled copse. The feature might be an old post medieval extractive pit and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
