Summary

Ditched linear features to the south of World's End, Morden, are visible as earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs and current Environment Agency lidar imagery. The features link with a historic water channel or sluice recorded on the OS 1st Edition map and are considered likely to be part of a post medieval drainage system. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.

Full Description

Ditched linear features to the south of World's End, Morden, are visible as earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs, and faintly on current Environment Agency lidar imagery [1, 2, 3]. The features link with a historic water channel or sluice recorded on the OS 1st Edition map and are considered likely to be part of a post medieval drainage system. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
