Full Description
Banked linear boundaries to the northwest of Lower Loop Farm, in Lytchett Matravers and Sturminster Marshall parishes are visible as earthworks on current Environment Agency lidar imagery [1]. The features align with the historic field pattern in some areas, running contra to it in others. They form a coherent arrangement on a broadly southeast to northwest axis. They are considered likely to be field boundaries of potentially later prehistoric to medieval date. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
