Full Description
Banked linear features within Charborough Park, Sturminster Marshall are visible as earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs (RAF) and on current Environment Agency lidar imagery (2021). The features appear to link a historic trackway and an area of extractive post (MDO46603) and may be a trackway of medieval to post medieval origin. Some of the features follow a short section of the Sturminster Marshall/Lytchett Matravers parish boundary and may fossilise earthworks associated with this. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
