Areas of probable post medieval extraction to the southeast of Newton Peveril, Sturminster Marshall, are visible as earthworks on current Environment Agency lidar imagery (Environment Agency 2021). The features are considered likely to be post medieval gravel pits and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
