Please read our .

Summary

Banked curvilinear features to the southwest of Newton Peveril, Sturminster Marshall, are visible as earthworks on current Environment Agency lidar imagery. The features comprise two sections of a curvilinear bank that appears to underlie an area of possible medieval or later cultivation (MDO46777) and continues beyond the historic road to the south towards an eyelet in the River Winterborne. It is considered likely to be a former field boundary, possibly of later prehistoric date, although a later, perhaps medieval, origin is also possible. It wasdigitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
