Full Description
An area of possible ridged and ditched cultivation within a field to the west of Newton Peveril, Sturminster Marshall, is visible as earthworks on current Environment Agency lidar imagery (Environment Agency 2021). The features are faint but appear broad and slightly curvilinear in form. They only occupy part of the historic fields in which they are situated and may be ridge and furrow cultivation of medieval to post medieval date. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
