The features may be those of medieval ridge and furrow and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.

Areas of possible ridged and ditched cultivation within fields to the east of East Almer Farm, Sturminster Marshall, are visible as earthworks on current Environment Agency lidar imagery [1]. The features comprise linear strips of curvilinear ridges and ditches that may be those of medieval ridge and furrow. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
