Summary
Several small hollows are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery to the south of the River Winterborne at Winterborne Muston. They are considered likely to be post medieval chalk pits but a natural origin cannot be ruled out. The features cover an area of 1.4 hectares and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project.

Several small hollows are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery to the south of the River Winterborne at Winterborne Muston <1>. They are considered likely to be post medieval chalk pits but a natural origin cannot be ruled out.
