They are marked as unanotated hollows on the OS 1st Edition map and are considered likely to be post medieval chalk pits. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project.

Two hollows are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery to the west of Great Coll Wood, Anderson <1>. They are marked as unanotated hollows on the OS 1st Edition map <2> and are considered likely to be post medieval chalk pits. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project.
