Two Old Sand Pits are marked on the OS 1st edition map to the south of Winterborne Tomson, Anderson. They are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project. They form part of a larger group of hollows in the vicinity that may be chalk or sand pits.

Two Old Sand Pits are marked on the OS 1st edition map to the south of Winterborne Tomson, Anderson <1>.
