A post medieval quarry to the northeast of Stag Gate Wood, Sturminster Marshall, is visible as an earthwork on 1940s aerial photographs and current Environment Agency lidar imagery [1, 2]. The feature is recorded as 'old quarry' on the OS 1st Edition map [3]. It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
