A post medieval extractive pit to the northeast of Higher Combe Farm, Sturminster Marshall, is visible as an earthwork on current Environment Agency lidar imagery [1]. The feature is considered likely to be an old chalk pit. It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
