Summary

Banked field boundaries are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery in the northern corner of Winterborne Zelston parish. The field boundaries largely fit in with the extant field system and are therefore considered likely to be of medieval or post medieval date, although an earlier origin is possible. They cover an area of over 9 hectares and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM.

Banked field boundaries are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery in the northern corner of Winterborne Zelston parish <1>. The field boundaries largely fit in with the extant field system and are therefore considered likely to be of medieval or post medieval date, although an earlier origin is possible.
