Full Description

Narrow banked linear field boundaries and areas of cultivation marks within Charborough Park, Morden, are visible as earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs and current Environment Agency lidar imagery [1, 2]. The features are considered likely to be of medieval to post medieval date and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project. The features potentially overlie an earlier field system of potentially later prehistoric origin (MDO46533), although the phasing and chronology of field boundaries at this location is complex and uncertain.
