‘(38) BARTON HILL HOUSE is mainly of the late 19th century. … At the S. end of the garden is an Ice House with brick walls and a barrel-vaulted roof; it probably is of the late 18th or early 19th century.’

‘Barton Hill House, Shaftesbury ST 825231. This late 18th or early 19th century icehouse is sited in the garden at the south end. It is built of brick and has a barrel vaulted roof (RCHM 1972, 68).’
