Full Description
The site of a later prehistoric enclosure with internal ring ditch is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs taken in 1945 <1>. It comprises an incomplete elongated ditched enclosure (58m by 25m in size), with small partial ring ditch 11m across at it’s north western end. The feature lies to the north east of large group of barrows described in records MDO7200-08 an in the vicinity of a scatter group of dispersed barrows. The features may be of funerary or domestic function and were digitally recorded during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM.
